What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Expeditor position at Apple Annie's Restaurant and Bakery?
Summary: The expeditor (expo) is responsible for managing orders as they pass from the kitchen to the Front Of House staff. The expo is responsible for ensuring that orders are organized, receive the correct sides, plated correctly, and are complete to standard. The expo improves efficiency by assisting serves with completion of orders prior to the order being served to the customer. The expo communicates with both Front Of House and Back Of House kitchen staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure all expo station items are prepped and have adequate stock levels
· Assess orders/tickets as they arrive at the expo station
· Assemble orders as the kitchen completes tickets including sides, condiments, soups, etc.
· Communicate with Kitchen/Back-of-House to ensure order accuracy and timely completion
· Communicate with FOH and servers regarding orders, issues, ticket times, etc.
· Management of workload in an efficient, effective, and positive manner
· Complete all side work and prep work for each shift
· Act as a team player to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experience
· Assist servers as needed
