Summary: The host greets customers as they enter the restaurant. The host has excellent customer service skills and seeks to maximize the guest experience by aiding the customers and servers. The host works closely with the wait staff to maintain an accurate assessment of customer tables and keep track of what tables are available or need to be cleaned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet customers as they enter the restaurant
· Maintain a neat, organized Front Of House environment
· Seat guests and accurately reflect tables available on the seating chart
· Provide customers with accurate wait times during busy periods
· Assist/Complete opening, closing tasks and side work as needed
· Learn menu and inform customers of daily specials
· Rotate seating between different servers to ensure even workloads for servers
· Assist servers with items as requested and able
· Ensure efficient table turnover
Skills/Qualifications:
· Flexible schedule, particularly for weekend/evening shifts
· Ability to work 6 hours on your feet at a time
· Time management experience
· Effective communication with team
· Friendly, open personality
· Team player who looks for ways to help other employees as needed
· Effective and efficient operation within job description
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
