This role isn't for everyone. It's for those who wake up with a purpose: to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. As a Direct Support Professional, you'll be at the heart of our residential setting, nurturing and guiding our youth toward brighter futures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
- Plan and implement a schedule of social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
- Interact with individuals with developmental disabilities in the course of their daily lives.
- Communicate clearly with individuals and families regarding supports and services available to them.
- Support the efforts of individuals to participate in community activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of each individual's support needs and service delivery system.
Physical requirements: Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in caregiving and direct support roles
- Certification in First Aid and CPR Preferred
- Familiarity with group home and assisted living environments
- Strong skills in patient observation and care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Experience in youth long-term care and social work settings
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in home and community care settings
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
