Prescription Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities and Duties:

· To know employee manual and any applicable department policies and procedures including all HIPAA guidelines.

· To become familiar with all DOT, FDA, government regulations and company policies as they pertain to our operation and the services the driver provides.

· To seek help from your supervisor when you have reached your limitations.

· Ensures that departmental schedules are followed, and deadlines are met.

· To be knowledgeable regarding the company’s inventory, services, and locations.

· Prepares delivery manifests.

· Loads into the vehicle all necessary items and supplies for each run.

· Determines and/or obtains best route, calls the client to verify the delivery and time, then drives the delivery vehicle on that route, to deliver assigned orders to our clients in a timely manner.

· When delivering, receives customer sales and service requests and satisfies request by coordinating with other departments or personnel to meet the customer’s needs.

· Obtains signatures for all deliveries and collects proper amount of money when noted ensuring accuracy when giving back change.

· Returns and unloads any undelivered items to the appropriate department after accurately documenting reason on manifest.

· Whenever possible, will process/confirm/complete delivery paperwork and documents promptly and accurately.

· Performs daily preventive maintenance sheet on assigned vehicle.

· Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.

· Promotes teamwork among co-workers which includes assisting others, as needed.

· Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience with dealing with customers.

· Promotes the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

· Accepts other duties as assigned or as added in the policy and procedure manual.

· Operates company vehicles in a safe manner always observing all state laws and posted speed limits.

Qualifications:

Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.

Education: High School graduate

Physical Requirements: Clean and neat in appearance. Must be in good physical condition and health as the driver comes in contact with customers having various stages of illnesses. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Experience/Knowledge: Excellent driving record. Good organizational skills. Willing to function as a cooperative team member. Responsible and cooperative attitude.

Background: No criminal record. Must not appear on Medicare’s list of sanctioned individuals.

License: Must maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing.
