Qualifications:
As a quick lane lube service technician, the quality and efficiency of your work speaks volumes to the thousands of customers we serve. It’s your responsibility for efficient and accurate vehicle inspections as well as thoroughly performing maintenance and services. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, and ensure customers receive consistent, timely and accurate service.
Responsibilities:
- Replace oil and filters, check air pressures and rotate tires, mount and balance tires, alignments, change air filters, replace wiper blades, replace batteries, and other general maintenance items.
- Perform multi-point inspections / inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
- Communicate needed services and repairs to service advisers
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards and codes of conduct
- Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
Requirements:
- Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
- Must have a valid driver license and preferred ability to operate manual transmissions
- Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a high customer service mentality
- Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
- Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks and valid driver license.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather
- Ability to operate various makes and models as well as automatic and standard transmission automobiles
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires a significant amount of walking and/or standing.
- May also require working in the seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs. This position may also require working at a production pace while pushing and/or pulling materials from place to place.
