What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Baker -Evenings position at Apple Ridge Farm?
Looking for a hard working, passionate, and reliable person to join our bakery team. This will be an evening baker position with a focus on baking breads in our wood fired brick oven and putting together orders for our markets and wholesale partners. Shifts start between 3-4 pm and end between 12pm-2am. So it's for people who like to sleep in and stay up later but it's not your classic start at 2 am bakery shift (We designed our bakery to never have that shift!). We don't necessarily need someone with bread experience but we do need someone with food production experience in a fast paced commercial environment. If you don't work with a sense of urgency and speed then this job isn't for you.
We make sourdough, organic flour breads, baked goods, and savory items featuring ingredients from our own farm. We're proud of what we do and are looking for people who care about this type of food as much as we do. This is a job that comes with a sense of purpose!
Starting pay will depend on experience. We look forward to baking with you!
