What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine position at Apple Street Kitchen?
*NEWLY RENOVATED RESTAURANT* Our Chef de Cuisine will work hands on with our chef/owner with 30 years experience. They will play a role in the creative process for seasonal menus using our organic garden and local farms. They are responsible for managing all kitchen employees. Our CDC tracks the kitchen’s inventory, places orders, monitors equipment maintenance and condition, and ensures that a kitchen operates alongside state and federal health and safety codes.
This candidate should express creativity. Using seasonal ingredients from our garden, the CDC will spend time hand-picking herbs and vegetables when time allows.
Our Chef de Cuisine has a trained palate. They will be responsible to taste every batch to ensure quality control.
Our CDC needs to lead the kitchen staff - and they need to be confident in their managerial and leadership skills. Our CDC will direct the cooking process, monitor the line and create a strong team relationship.
