Join our dedicated Oral Health Care team as a Sedation Licensed Dental Assistant and play a key role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to support clinical services in both traditional and mobile dental settings, including outpatient clinics, our ambulatory surgical center, and community-based locations.
As a Sedation Licensed Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist(s), CRNA, dental or medical anesthesiologist, hygienist(s), and advanced dental therapist(s) in the preparation and delivery of dental services with a focus on sedation and surgical support. Your role ensures smooth operations and compassionate care in both clinical and community settings.
\n- Assist in sedation and non-sedation procedures alongside dental providers and anesthesia professionals
- Prepare operatory and instruments for dental procedures, maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Monitor and support patients during sedation appointments
- Document treatment notes in the electronic health record
- Participate in mobile dental unit outreach and clinic-based care delivery
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure excellent patient experience

- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Active Minnesota dental assistant licensure with DAND certification and/or state jurisprudence to perform designated tasks
- Current BLS (CPR) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Allied sedation monitoring and IV assistant certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English required
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred based on clinic location
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be added to company car insurance roster highly preferred
