Summary
Description
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics or equivalent.
- Background in LED device operation, processing, and/or optical design.
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years experience in LED or optoelectronic module development, lens manufacturing, package assembly, electrical boards or component SMT.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to drive a cross-functional team. Communication and presentation skills tailored to technician, engineer and executive audiences, both internal and external.
- Statistical analysis of large datasets, data reporting, and visualization. MATLAB or Python programming experience.
- Color science experience related to digital imaging and illumination integration with cameras.
- Optical design experience and exposure to LightTools or similar modeling software
- Understanding of battery-based electrical driver architectures
- Knowledge of injection molding methodology and DFM
- Failure analysis and advanced materials characterization

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
