As a CV/ML engineer, you will develop new technologies for Apple’s next generation products. The focus will be innovating and delivering effective, efficient and well-tested computer vision based solutions from prototyping to shipping that are often deployed on Apple’s consumer devices. Besides domain expertise and technical knowledge the ideal candidate will possess the self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to achieve those goals. Analogously, the candidate is a lifelong learner who passionately seeks to improve themselves and the quality of their work. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- Background in machine learning and deep learning.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- BS and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in areas like biometrics, object detection, landmark detection, and semantic segmentation.
- Theoretical and practical understanding of modern deep learning techniques such as vision transformers, encoder-decoder architectures and multi-modality.
- Solid mathematical foundation in linear algebra and probability theory.
- Understanding of classical image processing and 3D computer vision fundamentals.
- Familiarity with distributed computing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems.
- MS or PhD in related field.
