The Retail Technology Engineering team designs, develops and deploys apps and digital experiences that shape the future of Apple Retail stores globally. Description

We’re seeking a talented iOS engineer to deliver innovative digital experiences for Apple stores worldwide. You’ll be collaborating across various organizations to influence technology roadmaps that pave the way for the future of retail. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, implement and deploy high-quality iOS, macOS, and visionOS applications, systems, and components that compellingly showcase our products and services within retail stores - Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver exceptional user experiences - Leverage expertise in Swift, Objective-C, and iOS/macOS frameworks to build robust, scalable, and high-performance applications - Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure application reliability and stability across various operating systems, devices, and environments. Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support to ensure smooth operation in retail stores

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS, EE or equivalent
• 7 years of experience across the SDLC including system architecture, design, implementation, QA, CI/CD, reliability, maintenance, and support
• Expert knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming, with a focus on Swift, Objective-C, and Apple OS frameworks
• Experience developing for Apple platforms focusing on feature delivery, code sharing, shipping, and collaboration across multiple front-end environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with client- and server-side programming, as well as workflow orchestration (e.g. Temporal)
• Extensive experience with Apple operating systems, including shipping and managing an iOS apps in the App Store, integrating with Mobile Device Management systems, and implementing localization
• Experience integrating APIs using technologies like REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as XCTest and Xcode automation
• Passion for blending digital technology with physical environments to create extraordinary user experiences

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
