Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of industry equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Works well in collaborative team atmospheres. Experience in driving challenging electromechanical architecture, managing trade-offs and design down-selection, and working within ID, weight, and manufacturing constraints.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package), wide knowledge of basic engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in prototyping quick-turn, high fidelity mechanisms and concepts to enable architecture down-selects and data collection.
- Working knowledge of FEA principles and how to leverage input for system convergence.
- Experience collaborating with Asian manufacturing facilities, working through DFM challenges with external vendors, specifically in high-volume products.
- GD&T knowledge, tolerance analyses (high-volume), experience releasing 2D drawings and FAI/CPK dimensional reports.
- Creative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
