Position Overview:We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team at our Applebee Montessori school. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Montessori education, a passion for child development, and experience working collaboratively with both staff and parents. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Educational Leadership: Assist the school director in the implementation and oversight of the Montessori curriculum. Provide guidance to teachers and ensure adherence to Montessori principles.
Community Engagement: Conduct school tours for prospective families, showcasing our Montessori philosophy and environment. Build positive relationships with parents and respond promptly to inquiries and concerns.
Conflict Resolution: Address and manage parent complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy, creating solutions that maintain a positive school community.
Staff Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to enhance classroom experiences, providing support and resources as needed. Encourage professional development and foster a positive team environment.
Multitasking and Administration: Manage multiple tasks, coordinating daily operations within the school as needed. Assist with scheduling, maintaining students/ teachers documentation, and files.
Communication: Handle email communications with staff and parents, keeping everyone informed about school updates, newsletters, and events. Ensure that communication is clear, timely, and reflects the school’s values.
Event Coordination: Organize and participate in school events, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings. Promote community involvement and enrich the school experience for families.
Lead Follow-Up: Follow up with leads from school tours and inquiries to support enrollment efforts and foster engagement with prospective families.
Commitment to School Culture: Be willing to go above and beyond to support the school's mission and vision, prioritizing the well-being and development of the children in our care.
Qualifications: Experience working in a Montessori environment, with a thorough understanding of Montessori philosophy and practices is highly preferred.
At least 1 yr of center leadership/management experience required.
Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulation is a plus. CPR and First aid certification required.
Previous experience as a teacher or in an educational leadership role preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with families, staff, and community members.
Proven ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Available to work full days from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, as required.
