Description
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join Applebury Behavior Associates. The Behavior Technician will work with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior plans designed by Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) or other Licensed Professionals, and/or Doctoral level staff. This position reports to clinicians and managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a LABA, other Licensed Professionals, and/or Doctoral level staff.
- Collect data on observable client behavior.
- Implement treatment goals and objectives.
- Provide direct services alongside a team.
- Collaborate with clinicians to provide effective client services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data and records.
- Regularly maintain client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
- Knowledge of trauma informed care.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Ability to follow medical protocols for administering medications.
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records and documentation.
Education & Experience
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check(s).
- Valid car insurance.
- Valid vehicle inspection.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to transport clients in personal vehicle.
- Ability to pass Safety Care Training.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
