Caseworker-Direct Hire
Position Overview:
Seeking a dedicated professional to support children and families through direct engagement, crisis intervention, and case management. This role involves providing emergency assistance, monitoring placements, and collaborating with service providers to ensure the well-being of children in need.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; further education in social services or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience working directly with children if holding a relevant degree.
- Alternatively, five years of experience with some college coursework, or seven to ten years of hands-on experience in a child-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large caseload subject to program needs.
- Provide emergency and temporary care services, including training, crisis intervention, placement, monitoring, and transportation.
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.
- Facilitate planning meetings with various service providers.
- Complete required reports and documentation in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Adhere to program policies and procedures to support the mission and objectives of the organization.
- Maintain flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families, particularly those with cultural backgrounds aligned with the community served.
- Must have a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the designated service area.

- Availability to carry a mobile phone for work-related purposes.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to a designated supervisor. The role requires a commitment to providing essential support services while maintaining a flexible schedule to meet program demands.
