Seeking a skilled Construction Administrator to join our team for a 6-12 month contract. We specialize in delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects and need a detail-oriented professional to support our project management efforts.
Job Summary:
The Construction Administrator will provide essential administrative support for construction projects, focusing on contract administration, material coordination, and stakeholder communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to manage both lump sum and time & materials contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and bid packages.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Calculate and verify construction costs, assist with contractor payment requests, and ensure financial accuracy.
• Act as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, clients, and vendors, relaying updates and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with permits, insurance, and certifications, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain databases to track subcontractor certifications, insurance expirations, and project milestones.
• Support project closeout by organizing and distributing closeout manuals and finalizing contracts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• 2-3 years of experience in construction administration or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of general contract administration, including lump sum and time & materials contracts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
