What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Action Analyst position at AppleOne Employment Services?
The primary responsibility is reconciling stock and cash discrepancies arising from corporate action event proceeds that were not automatically processed within the system. The role requires strict adherence to established procedures to resolve system exceptions efficiently and accurately. This role requires focus, accuracy, and the ability to work within a structured framework while managing multiple tasks effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile stock and cash payments related to corporate action events using multiple systems.
- Accurately post reconciled transactions to client accounts following standard operating procedures.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for tasks such as lookups, applying basic formulas, and using shortcuts to enhance efficiency.
- Execute transactions on internal operational accounts within internal systems by following detailed operating procedures.
- Review reports containing system exceptions and cash/stock discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, or monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic functionalities such as lookups, formulas, and keyboard shortcuts.
- Strong ability to read and execute detailed operating procedures.
- A quick learner with the capability to understand various processing applications and payment systems
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in Banking Custody operation business, particularly in Corporate Action processing business.
- Familiarity with cash and stock transaction processing for corporate action events, particularly for Mandatory with choice events for western hemisphere markets mainly US & Canada.
- Understanding of SWIFT messages, especially MT566, is highly advantageous.
