Leading Media and Entertainment company is seeking a Finance Senior Manager or Director for a 6 month contract to support reporting process, billing, forecasting, and account reconciliations. Ideal candidate will have exceptional financial modeling and high level proficiency with excel as well as previous management experience.
About the Role - Responsible for revenue forecasting including annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long term plan, monthly operational reviews and other estimates as needed. Analysis and reporting of sales risks and opportunities. Manage key sales financial functions: general ledgers postings of actuals. Ad sales revenue functions across all digital platforms (mobile, video on demand, social media, Desktop and more). Responsible for maintaining high levels of controllership in advertising sales. Coordination will billing team to ensure alignment with billing, revenue, and sales. Manage billing adjustments, barter agreements, revenue share. Collaboration with Digital Media planning, strategy, and sales leadership with pricing analysis, inventory utilization and analysis, forecasting, growth investment modeling, business development and partnership revenue modeling. Enhancement of reporting for better analytical tools for Finance and Sales.
Responsibilities
- Day to day ad-hoc analytics, weekly financial reporting, financial modeling for budget forecasts, re-forecasting.
- Interacting with planning, inventory, sales people.
- Financial close, journal entries, posting, reconciliation and thorough quarterly close.
- Gathering information large data sets, must be Excel savvy, including pivot tables to pull, manipulate and sort data.
- Financial Planning & Analysis is 15% of the role, modeling proficiency is important.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required, MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of finance experience.
- Prior management experience.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Accuracy and attention to details.
- Media Ad sales and digital experience preferred but not required.
