We are seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Labor Law to join our firm in Glen Falls. This role encompasses all aspects of employer-employee relationships. Our attorneys serve as general counsel to numerous private and public sector employers and provide services on a referral basis for other clients and attorneys. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a reputable firm.
In this role, you will negotiate collective bargaining agreements, prepare contract provisions, participate in labor-management committees on behalf of employers, and advise employer members of these committees. You will also provide advice in preparation for anticipated strikes and offer a full range of legal services to ensure our clients comply with various federal and state laws, preventing violations. Additionally, you will represent our labor law clients in various litigated matters, including National Labor Relations Board and New York State Employment Public Relations Board cases, arbitrations regarding employee grievances, all types of discrimination claims, unemployment insurance claims, and strike-related matters.
To qualify, you must have completed a Juris Doctor (JD) or Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school, passed the New York Law Exam (NYLE) and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), and meet character and fitness requirements. You must also be registered as a New York Lawyer and have previous experience in Labor Law with a keen interest in growing in this field.
