Billing and Collections Specialist
Job Summary:
The company is seeking a Senior Collector for a full-time, temporary position in Columbia, SC. This role involves making outbound collection calls, with a focus on collecting payments (including partial payments) for accounts that are 1-15 days past due. Experience in collections is preferred but not required; candidates must be comfortable making calls to request payments. The position requires a strong work ethic, professional communication skills, and reliable attendance. Overtime up to 45 hr/week may be needed during peak times.
Requirements:
- Attendance and credit check are essential.
- Must be comfortable with outbound calls and collections.
- Exposure to finance or lending is helpful.
- Reliable, fast learners with multitasking ability are preferred.
- 1 year of collections experience is a plus.
- Must meet credit requirements (no charge-offs or delinquent payments without agreements in place).
- Business casual office, team-oriented environment.
- 40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
Additional Details:
- The company has a strict attendance policy (no more than 3 unplanned absences annually).
- Opportunities for temp-to-hire or long-term roles for strong performers.
- Must pass background and credit checks to qualify.
