Job Summary :
A Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and reaching out to potential clients, nurturing leads, and setting up meetings for the sales team. They play a key role in expanding a company’s customer base by researching prospects, building relationships, and qualifying leads.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify and research potential clients through various channels (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, etc.).
Conduct outbound prospecting to generate leads and schedule meetings for sales representatives.
Qualify leads by understanding their business needs, challenges, and potential fit with the company’s products / services.
Maintain a pipeline of prospects and track interactions in a CRM system.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop outreach strategies.
Follow up with leads and nurture relationships to move them through the sales funnel.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals for lead generation and conversions.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
Qualifications & Skills :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence.
Experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
Ability to research and understand potential clients’ needs.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
