What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller / Director of Finance position at AppleOne?
he Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization. This position will oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Develop and implement sound financial policies and procedures.
Manage and mentor a team of accounting staff.
Prepare and submit grant reports and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Coordinate audits and tax returns.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
Experience with Paylocity software preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
