Job Summary
Our company is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee the execution of the construction phase of our structural restoration projects. In this role, you will work with our clients (generally condominium associations) and restoration contractors to follow the project plan, which includes field work, budgets, quantities, timelines, and regulatory considerations. Since you will oversee various projects, you should be familiar with different building types including prestressed / precast, reinforced concrete, conventional cast-in-place, and post-tensioned buildings, and collateral aspects of the work which may include coatings, waterproofing, doors and windows, railings, and roofing. You will be responsible for coordinating inspections with the contractor before, during, and after repairs / construction is completed. Project management professional certification or experience is a major plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with clients to ensure they are satisfied with all aspects
Understand the project parameters, goals and budgets
Oversee the construction team during the project
Ensure the final project meets specifications and regulations
High level quality management oversight for quality assurance
Will visit job sites as needed, once or twice a week on average
Maintain excellent communication with both the clients and the contractors
Will manage 4 to 8 jobs at a time
Jobs sites can range from St Augustine to New Smyrna Beach
Salary range 70K – 90k based on experience, plus expenses, vehicle allowance, gas reimbursement, health insurance allowance, 401k, performance bonuses, and paid vacation / holidays.
Experience in coastal structural concrete restoration, waterproofing and / or roofing
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience in construction or construction related industries
Willing to train individuals with the appropriate aptitude
Comfortable working from heights with lifts, scaffolding, and / or swing stages
Physical ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
Several years of engineering and leadership experience preferred
Skills with relevant software, including AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft 365 applications
