Position Overview :
The Senior General Ledger Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day general ledger operations, managing month-end and year-end close processes, and preparing financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure compliance with internal deadlines.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports.
Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and to resolve accounting issues.
Assist in the preparation for audits and other regulatory filings.
Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
