Job Title : General Manager

Location : Norfolk, VA 23504

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000 (DOE)

Overview :

A prominent company in the ship repair and maintenance industry, with contracts with the U.S. Navy, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations at their Norfolk, Virginia facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ship repair, government contracting, and be well-versed in NAVSEA, FAR, and DFAR regulations. This role requires the ability to obtain or currently hold a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily operations at the Norfolk facility, ensuring efficient management of ship repair and maintenance services for government contracts.
• Collaborate with government representatives and contractors to ensure compliance with NAVSEA, FAR, and DFAR regulations.
• Lead teams, manage resources, and oversee project timelines to meet government contract specifications.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including the U.S. Navy and other government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015 and NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04.
• Some travel may be required for ship checks, training, conferences, and other business needs.
