We're experiencing exciting growth and seeking a highly organized and motivated Labor Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This key role will be responsible for strategically allocating our labor resources across various projects and departments, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
About the Role :
As our Labor Coordinator, you'll be the central hub for all labor-related activities. Collaborating closely with project managers, supervisors, and our skilled workforce, you'll optimize scheduling, track hours, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. This position demands strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English / Spanish proficiency is essential.
Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet deadlines.
Assign workers to specific projects and tasks, matching skills and experience to project needs.
Track employee hours, including regular time, overtime, and time off requests.
Maintain accurate labor records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Proactively identify and address potential labor shortages or surpluses.
Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and adjust labor schedules accordingly.
Communicate effectively with employees regarding scheduling, assignments, and other labor-related matters.
Assist with new hire onboarding, including orientation and training.
Contribute to continuous improvement of labor management processes.
Utilize labor management software and other tools to optimize resource allocation.
Prepare reports on labor costs, productivity, and other key metrics.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Labor Coordinator or similar role within an industrial setting.
Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations.
Proficiency with labor management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Must be bilingual (English / Spanish).
