Job Title : Legal Documentation Specialist – Credit Card Collections
Location : 100% Onsite
Job Summary :
We are seeking a Legal Documentation Specialist with experience in credit card collections and legal paperwork processing to join our team. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage large workloads, and experience working with Adobe PDF, Excel, and legal documentation. The ideal candidate will have exposure to civil procedure and litigation and be comfortable partnering with third-party law firms.
Key Responsibilities :
Case Management & Documentation : Manage and support the control step in the credit card recovery process by reviewing and processing legal paperwork.
Credit Card Case Reviews : Work daily on assigned accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate policies.
Payment Research & Root Cause Analysis : Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments and settlements.
Document Processing : Scan, organize, and correctly link stacks of legal documents to corresponding accounts.
Communication & Coordination : Partner with third-party law firms and internal teams to facilitate case resolution.
Report Management : Review and process daily and weekly reports to ensure all assigned accounts are addressed.
Administrative Support : Scan and email necessary legal documents as part of the settlement review process.
Qualifications & Experience :
Experience in legal paperwork processing, credit card collections, or related fields.
Understanding of credit card transactions, settlements, and legal implications.
Familiarity with civil procedure and litigation exposure preferred.
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle high workloads efficiently.
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to perform root cause analysis.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Adobe PDF and Excel.
Ability to work independently, be resourceful, and manage priorities effectively.
Experience in an enterprise or corporate environment.
Not a customer-facing role; must be comfortable working behind the scenes on legal and financial documentation.
