We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at our office on the West side of Pittsburgh. If you have strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and a passion for helping ensure accurate billing processes, we want to hear from you!
Job Description :
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for handling the billing and coding of medical services, ensuring that claims are accurately processed and submitted to insurance companies and other payers. You will work closely with healthcare providers and office staff to ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ICD-10 coding, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work on-site in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately assign ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures based on patient records.
- Review patient files, medical charts, and documentation to ensure proper coding and billing.
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working with insurance companies and patients to resolve issues.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and office staff to obtain missing information or clarification on codes.
- Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10 coding updates and changes in insurance billing procedures.
