What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Legal Assistant position at AppleOne?
This position plays a critical role in supporting our litigation team by providing essential legal and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including document review, witness interviews, and trial preparation.
Manage case files, deadlines, and court appearances.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and maintain strong client relationships.
Proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of litigation experience required.
Experience in collections-related litigation is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
