Job Opportunity : Equipment Maintenance & Delivery Specialist
Are you passionate about vehicles and ensuring they’re roadworthy? We’re looking for a dependable and skilled Equipment Maintenance & Delivery Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and displaying used equipment, ensuring it’s ready for delivery to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities :
Exercise Trucks & Tractors : Ensure that equipment is roadworthy and ready for sale by testing and exercising trucks and tractors.
Prepare Units for Delivery : Guarantee customer units are ready for transport or delivery without issues.
Yard Management : Transport and organize equipment around the yard, maintaining a clean, orderly, and presentable space.
Light Mechanical Work : Perform minor mechanical tasks like jump-starts, battery installations, fluid management, and troubleshooting.
Coordination with Service Providers : Work with Ryder shops or third-party service providers for necessary repairs.
Record Keeping : Submit weekly exercise data through Teams for tracking and reporting.
Customer Support : Ensure equipment is clean, ready for delivery, and meets customer expectations.
Additional Responsibilities :
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Flexibility to take on other duties as needed.
Skills & Qualifications :
Must have a CDL Class A.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment and in various weather conditions.
Strong customer service focus.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
Basic computer skills (using tablets for inspections, email communication).
Solid knowledge of truck and trailer equipment.
