We are experiencing exciting growth and are seeking a highly organized and motivated Labor Coordinator / Recruiter to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective allocation of labor resources across our various projects and departments.
About the Role:
As our Labor Coordinator, you will be the central point of contact for all labor-related activities. You will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and our skilled workforce to optimize scheduling, track hours, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This position requires strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate the assignment of workers to specific projects and tasks, considering their skills and experience.
Track employee hours, including regular time, overtime, and time off requests.
Manage and maintain accurate labor records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Proactively identify and address potential labor shortages or surpluses.
Collaborate with project managers to understand project needs and adjust labor schedules accordingly.
Communicate effectively with employees regarding scheduling, assignments, and other labor-related matters.
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to labor management processes.
Utilize labor management software and other tools to optimize resource allocation.
Prepare reports on labor costs, productivity, and other key metrics.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Labor Coordinator or in a similar role within an industrial setting.
Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
Proficiency in using labor management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
