Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in and/or willingness to learn the business side of the music industry
Familiarity with various musical artists, genres, and styles required. Understanding of music publishing a plus
Demonstrated experience with data entry and/or research
Must be technologically savvy, with strong typing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google apps
Meticulous attention to detail required
Must be able to identify, evaluate, and communicate issues
Strong organizational and time management skills

- Research music copyright ownership using information available through the internet, direct sources, and other reference tools
- Prepare and enter updates to Songdex, the largest independent source of music copyright information in the world
- Match sound recordings to musical works
- May include other tasks related to music database maintenance and research, such as researching new releases or processing music cue sheets
