The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of materials, production, and inventory within the supply chain to ensure a smooth and efficient process from procurement to delivery. The role involves collaborating with various departments to forecast demand, track supply levels, and identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Demand Forecasting & Planning :
oAnalyze historical data, market trends, and customer requirements to develop accurate demand forecasts.
oCollaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align on demand forecasts and production plans.
oOptimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while ensuring product availability.
oMonitor stock levels and work with suppliers to replenish inventory as necessary.
oImplement inventory control procedures to ensure the accuracy of stock records.
oCoordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure production schedules align with demand forecasts.
oTrack production timelines and adjust plans as needed to avoid delays or bottlenecks.
oCommunicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
oMonitor supplier performance and address any supply chain disruptions or delays.
oCollaborate with logistics teams to ensure that goods are delivered on time and at the right quality.
oOptimize transportation costs and improve overall delivery efficiency.
oIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction within the supply chain.
oImplement lean practices to improve supply chain performance.
oGenerate reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics such as inventory turnover, order lead time, and on-time delivery.
oProvide recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.
Qualifications :
Skills :
oStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
oPowerBI, SQL
oProficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
oExperience managing large amounts of data / building pivot tables
oKnowledge of demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management concepts and best practices.
oExcellent communication and collaboration skills.
oAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
oFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
