What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-person Test Prep Tutor position at Applerouth Education?
Applerouth is looking to hire in-home, one-on-one, test prep tutors to service the Atlanta metro area (Buckhead, Decatur, Norcross, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Duluth...) Applicants must be willing to tutor all sections of both the SAT and ACT - this, after comprehensive paid training, of course - however, a baseline knowledge of high school ELA & math content is needed.

Applerouth is a group of passionate educators seeking Test Prep tutors excited to work at a growing educational services company. New tutors go through paid training to provide them with extensive knowledge of both the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies to help tutor different types of students. We also provide regular supplemental training to help tutors stay aware of changes to both tests and pedagogy. Applerouth tutors believe students are more than a score. That's why we keep our focus fixed on building better learners for life.
We expect applicants to have the following: Empathy, Creativity, Strong communication skills, and a desire to help others. Tutors create custom lesson plans using industry-leading materials and prep weekly, leading up to the student's target test date(s).
Requirements
- SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores.
- At least one year of College.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Most sessions will occur in students' homes or a mutually amenable location.
- High-speed internet.
- Prior tutoring/teaching experience is a plus!
