What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at Appleseed Community Mental Health Center Inc?
At Appleseed Community Mental Health Center, Inc., we walk with families and individuals on their journey to live healthy, whole, and productive lives by offering comprehensive and integrated behavioral health, housing, outreach & prevention, substance use disorder, and victim services. To help accomplish this goal Appleseed is seeking to fill a full-time Intake Specialist position. Standard work hours are M-F 8:30AM – 5:00PM with the occasional evening to cover for other staff as needed. Previous office experience preferred and experience with client registration would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Complete the financial registration process
- Complete requests for services
- Update clinical information
- Schedule existing and new patients
- Registering new patients
- Process requests for releases of information,
- Collect and enter data
- Perform various administrative duties
- Back up for front desk receptionist
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clean background check
- Pass drug screening
- Computer literate
- Familiar with Excel and Microsoft Word
- Detail-oriented
- Personable
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Work independently
- Ability to organize projects quickly and effectively
- Previous office and/or intake experience preferred
