Work Time : Musical / Play groups meet outside of compensated time (i.e. lunch, before or after school).
Essential Function :
The Musical / Play position coordinates the event(s) and provides positive experiences for students to perform and / or be involved in theater.
Responsibilities, Tasks & Duties :
- Provide an opportunity for all students to participate.
- Recruit and encourage students to join
- Give the group opportunities to perform to different audiences
- Select the play or musical in collaboration with the administrator
- Coordinate the event
- Establish a schedule and conduct rehearsals
- Communicate rehearsal and performance schedule to school community
- Communicate expectations of student membership to parents, students and building teachers
- Create a positive experience for students
