What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote Patient Service Representative position at APPLETON CLINICS?
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is the first point of contact for our Clinic over the phone greeting callers politely and identifying the clinic and yourself. You will coordinate activities like scheduling appointments, verifying orders, redirecting phone calls, collecting balances and perform a variety of both clerical and administrative tasks. You must be able to handle emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Appleton Clinics PSR duties and responsibilities are to ensure every interaction is welcoming and positive and administrative tasks are complete to the highest quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize answering calls from the queue in a swift and congenial manner.
- Meet a specified percentage of incoming calls answered weekly.
- Accurately schedule appointments.
- You are expected to be available for your assigned/scheduled hours.
- Provide basic and accurate information via phone, e-mail, portal, and text messaging.
- Maintain patient privacy and security by controlling access via your remote computer, phone and work area.
- Handle referrals to other offices.
- Proactively call, text, and/or e-mail patients with past due balances and/or subscription payments as assigned.
- Handle payments and update payment information on patient accounts.
- Create patient statements as assigned.
- Additional duties and projects may be asked of you outside of this list.
SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a receptionist, customer service representative, administrative office or similar role.
- Technical proficiency with Internet-based medical EMR, Microsoft Office Suite, or related experience.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet company objectives.
- Customer service mindset with a positive outlook even when working on the most difficult interactions.
- High school diploma; or equivalent; higher education a plus. Prior experience may supersede education.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
