We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Category Management to lead sourcing, procurement, and product portfolio optimization efforts. This role will drive category growth, supplier partnerships, and cost-saving initiatives while enhancing profitability and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in category management within the cosmetic ingredients or specialty chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize product portfolios and enhance profitability.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts to drive cost savings and secure competitive advantages.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to support new product development and launches.
- Analyze market trends, pricing models, and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Implement sustainability initiatives and sourcing practices to meet corporate ESG goals.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for category performance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of category managers and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain within the cosmetic ingredients or specialty chemical industry.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven decision-making and forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
