A recognized leader in the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to oversee preconstruction activities for multiple water/wastewater projects across North America. This role involves estimating, design development, and client relations during the pursuit and preconstruction contract phases. Responsibilities
- Lead project pursuits in collaboration with proposal teams, estimators, and business development managers.
- Identify new opportunities and recommend strategic partnerships to enhance project success.
- Develop and manage pursuit timelines, ensuring all required documentation and data are submitted on schedule.
- Review design schedules and construction plans to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize materials, and propose alternative construction methods.
- Work closely with design managers to develop technical solutions that align with project requirements.
- Manage client expectations and communications throughout the preconstruction phase.
- Collaborate with engineers and estimators to develop project budgets and finalize bid pricing.
- Support the transition from preconstruction to execution, ensuring smooth project handoff.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, risk strategies, and cost estimation methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 10 years of experience in construction project pursuits, estimating, project management, or business development.
- 5 years of experience specifically in water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods (CMAR, CMGC, Progressive Design-Build, etc.).
- Strong understanding of constructability, risk management, and cost estimation.
- Proven ability to lead partnerships, negotiate agreements, and manage client relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license.

Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
