Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients.
• Utilize medical billing systems to ensure accurate data entry and claim submissions.
• Review patient records for accuracy in coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to billing and coding.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their bills.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a medical office setting.
• Proficiency in using medical billing systems and software.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, including familiarity with ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals.
• Experience with medical collections is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in medical billing or coding is a plus.
