Afternoon Infant Teacher
We are seeking a caring and energetic Afternoon Teacher to join our growing preschool team! This role is perfect for someone with early childhood experience who enjoys engaging with young children in a warm and structured environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, creative, and skilled in managing an infant classroom during the afternoon hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key Job Responsibilities/ Essential Functions for Infant Teachers:
- Foster a nurturing and engaging environment for children ages 3 months - 18 months during the afternoon hours.
- Engage with children through play, structured activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Assist with rest time transitions, snack time, and afternoon enrichment activities.
- Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behaviors.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians during pickup.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including supervision, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to maintain a consistent learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 1 year prior experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Ability to effectively engage and supervise young children in an afternoon classroom setting.
- Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- CPR & First Aid and Food Safety Certifications (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
