Summary:
This candidate plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products within the company. Their duties encompass preparing outgoing shipments, generating shipping documentation, verifying incoming shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to production lines.
Duties:
- Maintain organized files of documents used and prepared for shipping and receiving processes.
- Verify and identify parts and materials, promptly reporting shortages or damages.
- Utilize RF scanners for efficient inventory tracking and management.
- Perform tasks such as cycle counts, inventory control, and stocking production lines.
- Extract data from customer orders and specifications to guide the PC team in product shipment.
- Compare item information and quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments with relevant records.
- Determine appropriate shipment methods based on customer or company requirements.
- Affix shipping labels and apply shipping instructions to packed cartons and containers.
- Pack items into containers securely and accurately.
- Inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and liaise with shippers to resolve issues.
- Route incoming items to respective departments and ensure proper delivery.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, tuggers, or hand trucks to transport shipments between shipping and receiving platforms and storage or work areas.
