Required: Meets State of Michigan requirements as a Speech and Language Pathologist
Desired:

Experience providing diagnostic, consultative, and direct speech and language services to students in both individual and small group settings; establishing goals based on assessments, data and student need; and documenting student progress on goals and objectives.

Experience providing speech and language assessment and diagnostic services and effectively functioning as an evaluation team member.

Experience and knowledge of language, articulation, development, fluency and voice intervention/remediation strategies.

Experience and knowledge of speech and language development in special populations, including students with early childhood developmental delays, cognitive impairments, and autism spectrum disorders.

Ability to function as a speech and language consultant for special and general education teachers regarding the integration of language instruction into the curriculum.

Familiarity with Michigan Speech-Language Hearing Association and Kent Intermediate School District speech and language guidelines.

Knowledge of Response to Intervention initiative and strategies.

Ability to relate positively and work cooperatively with students, school staff, and parents.

Prefer experience and knowledge with a wide range of school-age students, especially with preschool aged students.

Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
