What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Installer/Delivery Driver position at Appliance MAX?
Overview
The delivery/installation position is the face in the field. You are the legs of the store and need to perform your job with care, courtesy, and speed. Although training will be provided on how to properly install the appliances you need to not only have a mechanical mind, but also knowledge on proper tool use. This position requires you to have the ability to lift and carry objects in excess of 50 pounds. Use of a dolly, lifting straps, or other moving devices is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver products and equipment to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured for transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety.
- Collaborate with the service technician team for efficient operations.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a semi-clean driving record.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (in excess of 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery duties.
- Previous experience in a delivery or field service role is a plus but not required.
