Service Technician Apprentice

We at Appliance Repair Center are looking for qualified professionals to join our team.

As a Service Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of consumer electronics and other equipment. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, able to work in a fast paced setting, able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines, and have a knack for troubleshooting. Must have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

We are looking for a honest, reliable and dependable person to join our team as an Service Technician.

Here's the offer:

We pay experienced technicians between $21 - $28 per hour based on experience Benefits will start 60 days after start day.

PLEASE READ: For those with NO actual appliance/electronics repair experience you would need to start as an apprentice. The pay range for a position as an apprentice can range from $18-$20 per hour. I know for some this isn't much to start, but the skill can provide security and a long and recession proof career.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Accurately diagnose and repair equipment in the customer's home
• Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
• Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
• Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License with clean record
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have two years appliance repair experience
• Must be able to pass background screening
• Proficiency to navigate smartphone/tablet based technology
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.
