Appliance Repair Done Better (ARDB)

At Appliance Repair Done Better, we strive for excellence in residential appliance repair. As the preferred warranty servicer in Northeast Ohio, we have an ever increasing demand for our expertise and services. We are looking for honest, motivated individuals with or without prior experience to join our team of exceptional Appliance Technicians. We take pride in providing an average yearly salary of $69,131.94 to our technicians–one and a half times the national average.

Please note, this position is for an Appliance Technician in the Akron-Canton, OH area. Applicants must live in Akron, Canton, or the area between them.

New technicians are provided paid one-on-one training until they are confident in their ability to complete repairs individually. Training generally lasts one month with no prior experience. You will learn how to properly disassemble, diagnose, and repair the following appliances in a residential setting: washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators. Additionally, you will learn how to use our service app to document and report your findings and file part requests when needed to complete repairs. You will be provided with a tool set and tablet or paid a bonus if you elect to supply your own.

After completing training, you will have access to on-call support from our friendly and knowledgeable office staff and technical support team. Before each work day, you will receive a daily route of appliance dispatches in your local area based on your desired availability. Any requested parts will be shipped to your home and checked in by you using our service app.

Traits We Look For In Applicants:

• Integrity in all interactions with customers, partner networks, and ARDB
• Ability to use diagrams, videos, and/or written resources to solve problems
• Ability to provide good customer service and conflict resolution
• Prior experience is helpful, but not required

Benefits:

• $100/day paid training
• Tools and tablet are provided, and are yours to keep after 3 months of work post training
• In-field support for on-site issues, customer relations and troubleshooting assistance
• Salary: 60k - 80k based on desired volume of daily dispatches and pay grade. Top pay grade generally within a year, based on experience and performance
• Totally remote: Start and end your route at home. Parts are shipped to you
• Automatic raises when repair contracts with partner companies are renegotiated

Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in our customer's homes
• Keep your personal vehicle and provided equipment properly serviced and in good condition
• Receive parts and use our service app to check them in
• Return unused parts to your local Fedex location

Job Requirements:

• A home address in Akron, Canton, or the area between them.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License in good standing
• Personal vehicle in good working order. Van or truck not required
• Pass a background/driving record check for customer safety and partner company compliance
• Proficiency to navigate tablet based technology
• The ability to safely lift up to 20 pounds on a repetitive basis, 50 pounds occasionally

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
