About the Role
As the Site Safety Leader for a flagship project, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring world-class safety standards during the construction and commissioning of the groundbreaking Plant. Reporting to the Project Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) Manager, you will lead strategic safety initiatives, collaborate closely with contractors, and influence key stakeholders across engineering, construction, and procurement teams. With direct oversight of 3–5 reports and responsibility for the safety of a workforce scaling up to 1,100 individuals, your leadership will be instrumental in driving compliance, reducing risks, and cultivating a safety-first culture in a high-stakes industrial environment.
About you
You are a seasoned EHS&S professional with a background in heavy industrial construction and hold a desire for fostering safe, efficient work environments. The candidate will have extensive experience in EHS leadership, including extensive time in industrial construction. You bring technical expertise, strategic vision, and dynamic leadership to high-pressure, complex projects. You excel at building trust across all organizational levels, from site workers to executives, and have a proven ability to implement systematic safety processes, adapt to changing priorities, and make decisive, ethical decisions. Your technical acumen, combined with strong interpersonal skills, enables you to lead investigations, resolve safety issues, and set new benchmarks for EHS excellence.
