Job Title: AWS Cloud ETL Developer
Job Location: Remote (within US) Job Type: Full-Time only
Job Summary:
ARC (application research center LLC) has a contract with FDA ( Food and drug administration) , we are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud ETL Developer to design, implement, and maintain cloud based ETL workflows and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, Python, and a strong understanding of networking concepts, along with relevant AWS certifications.
This job requires Public trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
ETL Development and Maintenance:
Design and develop scalable ETL workflows using AWS Glue and Python.
Optimize and automate data pipelines to handle large-scale data.
Maintain data quality, integrity, and security during extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
AWS Service Integration:
Use AWS Lambda for serverless computing and event driven ETL tasks.
Integrate various AWS services (S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS) to support data engineering workflows.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance AWS Glue jobs for performance.
Networking and Security:
Configure and manage secure VPCs, subnets, and networking protocols.
Implement security best practices for data access and transfer (e.g., IAM roles, encryption).
Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
Document technical designs, workflows, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python programming for data engineering tasks.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue and Lambda.
Knowledge of AWS data storage solutions like S3, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, load balancers, VPNs, security groups).
Certifications: (Mandatory)
AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
Experience:
10 years of experience in ETL development and cloud-based data solutions.
Proven expertise in serverless and event-driven architectures.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
Knowledge of DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
Familiarity with data visualization tools and frameworks.
