Role Overview
As a Design Engineer at AASC, you will be at the forefront of applying engineering principles to design, modify, and develop cutting-edge product designs using advanced computer software. You’ll collaborate with our dynamic team to create tooling designs, mylars, CNC machine programs, and other engineering products essential for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine engineering models, drawings, and designs to meet exacting specifications and standards.
- Utilize computer-aided engineering/manufacturing software and equipment to execute design tasks.
- Analyze data to assess the feasibility of product proposals.
- Evaluate engineering proposals, process requirements, and technical data related to industrial machinery and equipment design.
- Prepare and present technical data packages for peer, management, and customer reviews.
- Adhere to engineering data control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a focus in design, aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE/CAM software such as Catia, Pro/E, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Nastran, or Mastercam.
- Expertise in ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with composites.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this role is $80,000-125,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
