Our manufacturing facility assembles complex parts to add to our customers impressive structures and support their manufacturing needs. Second shift works from 3:30pm-12:00am Monday- Friday.
About this role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paint Detailer. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing parts for the spray painter by taping and performing necessary prepping tasks. Your primary focus will be to ensure the highest level of attention to detail and quality throughout the painting process. Additionally, you may be required to use a roller to paint parts for companies like SpaceX.

Responsibilities:
- Follow written work instructions to prepare parts for the spray-painting process
- Tape and mask off designated areas of the parts to protect them from overspray
- Perform necessary prepping tasks such as sanding, cleaning, and priming
- Use a roller to apply paint to parts
- Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Inspect finished parts for defects, imperfections, or deviations from quality standards
- Report any issues or deviations to the supervisor or appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical diagrams
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to join and comply with union rules and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of painting techniques, including sanding, priming, and painting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with paint preparation and masking techniques

The salary range for this role is $17-$19 hourly. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting.
